Charity ride today

So we had a charity ride here in town today for 2 fallen police officers. It was a great ride with a lot of bikes out for the event, and there was food, drinks, and a few door prizes afterwards.

The thing that bothered me was that out of about 500 bikes, there were 8 sportbikes there. Anyone have any idea why the sportbike crowd never comes out to these to represent?

I usually just make a donation...I don't enjoy riding in those things. I have an EMT friend who says the majority of their motorcycle calls are from wrecks in charity rides, poker runs, ets.

I'd make a donation before I'd ride in one. There's always someone wrecking someone else in the Indy area.
Now the PGR is a differant thing altogether for me.
