changing windscreen

I am trying to change my windscreen on my 2008 hayabusa and those two funny bolts on the inside of the fairing that seem to be holding the windscreen in place, well how do you remove them never seen nothing like this before.

Unscrew the bolt completely and set them aside. Pinch the rubber boot the bolt was in and gently twist it as you pull it out of the fairing. When it's out the windscreen can be slid out of it's slot. To put them back in you can thread the bolt into the boot and push it into the fairing hole.

Also some aftermarket WS's can cause a squeaking sound while driving down the road. Some put a little black tape(or something similar) along the edge of the WS that inserts into the nose. Careful how you put the tape on so it doesn't show after the WS is installed.

If having trouble with those rubber pieces. Try some Spit or soapy water. No oil based product as it might cause the rubber to swell.

Don't over tighten bolts.

Good Luck! :beerchug:
