Most Likely from running Dino oil with super extended oil changes over and over.

So is this motor getting a turbo????

My lawnmower oil looked like that, actually a bit worse, after 7 years without any maintenance.

Drained, put some MotoGP ENI Agip synthetic left overs in there and it is on year two again without maintenance still running like a champ. Amazing, oil is still clean at this stage, after the previous flush and change. Must be the Honda motor?

That is just so nasty and no excuse for it. Given how uniformly the brown residue is it looks like then engine was overheated for an extended period of time to "bake" on the oil residue.
