Chain Strength

Need a new chain. Found a new oring chain for a decent price BUT it is rated at tensile strength of 8000.

Is this enough for a 200 HP Busa? I run a RK 11000 non oring now for drag racing.....but again the price is right on this oring if it will hold up.

thats to low...  ek zvx or zzz,did also makes some good high tensile strength chains

i have a tsubaki on my 12 (nitrous) that has held up well, with chains you usually get what you pay for

+1 on the ZZZ. I won't do anything less than the ZZZ and I'm far short of 200hp.

EK limits their 8000lb chain to 120 hp applications. They only recommend the ZVX to 180hp.

I believe you should be getting a chain at 10,000+ tensile strength.

bigger it is...

Mike,

I know Charles @ Street and Track had some good deals on the ZZZ chains. Give him a shout!
