chain question

hey guys i am in need of a new chain and rear sprocket so i am planning on going +2 teeth in the back which would be 42 i believe. I also have a 6 inch extension and i am wondering how many links to buy for the chain. help is much appreciated!

I also have a question about chains. My stock chain is just about at the max stretched limit. I was wondering if going up 2 teeth on the rear to get more miles out of the stock chain is a good idea.

The chain is well maintained and looks real good... just running out of room to adjust it..

Most of the time if you run out of adjustment then the chain is stretched out of specs...Might look good but you need to measure it and see.
