Your bike is parked, your chain is on the rear sprocket, lets say you try to pull the chain off the rear sprocket at 3 o clock on the sprocket...what sort of/how much movement should you get? or should it move at all?

Side to side on the sprocket, side-slop, okay. Getting movement "AWAY" from the sprocket, as in, pulling away from sprocket ????....NO Bueno...... Clean, lubricate, adjust, and report back...... :oldcool:

If you try and pull the chain to the rear of the bike (3 o'clock) then it shouldn't move at all. If it does then you better fix it because that kinda dangerous.

Bump

If it moves at all it is worn out.
That was a good way to check wear on dirt bike chains in the old days, but not on these.
