Chain lube

[too many toys]

Got caught in a massive thunderstorm sat. night. Both the bike and I got soaked. The next morning the chain was orange, so I cleaned it with gas/oil mix I had and lubed it with wd-40 (soaked pretty heavy and wiped down with a clean rag). What damage did I do? Whats the best lube for a chain?

Hey TMY do a search, so much info out there on chain lube and cleaning. I use Kerosene to clean and Motul factory line chain lube.

I use maxima chain wax. I use wd-40 to clean the chain off. What chain wax you use will pretty much be personal preference.

Never use gas even with oil your chain is gone dude???

SAME HERE Kerosene MAKE SHURE IS NYLON BRUSH OR SOFT LIKE A TOOTHBRUSH DONT USE WIRE BRUSH OR IT WILL TRASH THE RUBBER O-RINGS+RUIN THE CHAIN. I like castrol chain wax there is a lot of good chain wax.

Kerosene to clean and Bel Ray Super Clean to lube.
Gas is dangerous and will destroy the rubber O rings.
