Then checkout this lamest of excuses (below). With this kind of mind set, it would mean that anyone that races (or drives the Capital Beltway I-495 on a regular basis) could go out and drive as fast and as aggressive as they want, with impunity!!

The reason it's 40 bucks, cause it was a revenue camera that gets ya. Nothing more than a shameless money grab, nothing about "safety" as they would like to have you believe. Had it been a cop that wrote you up, you'd be looking at an easy three digit ticket, plus phucking up your insurance. More cash for big business.

These cops are pissed because they became victims, just like the rest of us, for doing the same thing that the rest of us do, but not being able to get away with it.

Just a take look, in Wash DC revenue cameras generated over $100 MILLION in five years!!! And if this crap continues, they're going to have revenue cameras on every road in this country if they can get away with it!!

There is NO need to hand the traffic officer your badge when getting pulled over. All he should be doing is giving him his license and registration. This is just a mere jesture of trying to use a get out of jail free card on the officer.
Laws are laws, made for everyone to follow.
Pathetic that an officer would think he could get off of a speeding ticket on the scene because of a "Brotherhood" thing.

Problem is that the camera manufacturers are the ones that proposition the local government to install the "highway robbery" devices with financial enticements. When a cash strapped municipality is shown the kind of numbers that can be added to the city fund, it is an easy choice that allows for bigger paychecks. Also, the companies have their own "technicians" that enhance photos and produce the final report in the name of the city in question.

I live in the D.C. area and the put those f*cking cameras everywhere. It should be illeagal you can't even take it to court if you feel it was wrong. You either pay it or you can't renew your registration. They have 1 new camera that was on the news the other night it's issuing 2000+ tickets a day. Next time I get one I'm getting a lawyer and saying there unconstitutional and taking the company issuing them to court. Sh*t just isn't right!
