I want to add more power to my Busa and I'm looking at Carpenter Racing for there 200 hp head and cam kit, I'd like to know if anyone has had dealings with Carpenter Racing?

A) How was the Quality of there work?
B) Did your bike make the numbers?
C) How was the service?
D) was it worth the money?

Any good input from you guys would greatly appreciated. Thanks

Second hand info...

A) How was the Quality of there work?

Very Good.

B) Did your bike make the numbers?

Yes, but read the fine print regarding the conditions to get the numbers.

C) How was the service?

Very Good.

D) was it worth the money?

Yes, from what I have heard, they do top notch work.

I have also heard good things about Carpenters work although again I have no first hand knowledge. You may want to check out Ward Performance before you make your final decision. I have seen some of thier work and it is definately top notch.

Just be careful with claimed HP results... results differ substantially given a few variables.... altitude, temp, fuel, dyno, ect.

The same holds true for Turbo kits as well... take advertised HP numbers with a grain of salt.

Both Carpenter & Johnny Cheese are well known producing a quality product and standing behind thier work.

just my 2 cents

What Cecil meant was, if you drop off your bike, AND buy ALL of the components that Carpenter suggests, you will get the advertised amount of HP.
Most people think it's just a head/cam combo.
I am not exactly sure, but I "think" that there is a certian header, Power Commander, and some other small mods that will also be needed.
There have been people that just bought a head and cams and we not satisfied.

I am happy with the hard earned money that I have spent with him...............I have bought 3 of his heads and cams.

Old thread but I'll say it again. He is one of the best N/A  builders/tuners in the US. Not to mention he is a great guy to talk to.

You will have to get use to your bike all over again. Im still not used to the damn thing.
