Cant get cases to split

Got the engine out and on the bench. Removed all the bolts (6 under the oil pan) and all the outside bolts including the two top ones by the clutch. Also got the one under the counter balancer. Pulled the water pump as well. I did not pull the clutch or the starter clutch, do they need to be removed? I cannot get the cases to split and I do not want to just start hammering on it. I tried the "pry points" and nothing. Any help would be great. Thanks
