I never ride at 50-55mph in 6th. 60 works out to 33-3500 rpm's if my memory serves.

I do alot of in town riding commuting to work, 3000 RPM is @ 50...
really? Stock gearing? I run a 42 rear and 3000 is 50 mph in 6 th gear.

My worksheet is showing around a 820 rpm increase with a 17/42 combo. That would figure to be around 2300 rpm with 17/40 gearing in 6 th gear.

ok, that sounds about right. Given speedometer error of course. At 3000 rpm in 6 th gear with a 42 tooth rear sproket I show 3000 @ 50 mph using speedometer upgrade. My gearing chart showed 819 rpm difference.

Pretty darn close. That would lead me to believe that at 60 mph I show 4000 rpm. You should show 3500 rpm.

Thank you very much. Not really much of a difference is there? A 250 rpm increase per one tooth on the rear sprocket.

My gearing is stock, 3500 @ 60 don't know about slower than that

Yeah, but be careful. She's bangin off the rev limiter and ya gotta have a tre

no good to you here, hogger. Speedo's about as off as a banana peel in a troupe of rabid orangutans.

Sitting, she's at 1500rpms and going about 17mph.

With the kickstand down and the key outta the ignition.

well..it equates to this.

Running a stock front sprocket (17) and a stock rear sprocket (40) for every one (1) tooth increase in the rear sprocket equals 250 more rpm.

Every decrease in the rear sprocket should have the opposite effect. For every tooth subtract 250 rpm.

Class dismissed!

I've been paying more attention lately and I know that 95 is 5,000 revs...just loping along. Felt like 75.
