Called "Nudity" "Porn"

I am still trying to figure out what the relationship is between riding a racing bike and women's bodies- particularly their breasts. Is it part of the culture i.e., big fatty breasts are desirable by men that ride? Also, I wonder how some guys here don't see this as sexual or sexist- rather only nudity. Sure, if you are a knome and unable to be aroused you can see this as "art"

Good question...a hard question, but a good one. I'll have to think about this one and get back to you.

when showing a woman w/ big breast and a skin body you will get most guys attention, plus to throw a fast bike in the mix. you created speed + sex= money. As men are the main target for T.V and sports, porn, beer, etc.... This is all called marketing; just like going into a store to buy milk when it's in the back to make you past everthing you didn't go into the store to get. It's a attention getter and 99.% of the time it works. Just my 2 cents

Uhhhh. I better not post on this thread. I'll get in trouble with my wife.

But seriously, not sure what you are driving at, but unfortunately many women jump at the chance to make a buck getting their pictures out there doing whatever it takes, sleazy or not (probably in the name of "Modeling"). They don't realize that they cheapen themselves when they do it. Just my opinion.

The relationship between racing motorcycles and women's bodies is that men like both of them. Alot. It is not necessarily part of the "culture" however. I would venture to guess that most men like shapely women with large breasts. That's not sexist. Having scantily clad or nude women draped over sportbikes to promote an image could be considered sexist though. As far as it being Art...hardly.

I would respond but I can't read your post...You may need to change you type color...I don't want to post solely based on the other responses either...

I did (change color), sorry bout that! If you highlight, then you can see what I wrote-- Anyway, please accept my apologies in composing a message that was hard to read.

I do have more to say about this too! Later

OK, here is what I have to say, don't blast me, but it is a theory I have developed. As far as women's bodies, men look, like animals, for the healthiest looking mate for reproduction. We look for women that are thin and athletic. Large breasts are like ornaments. Kind of like how flashy colors get our attention. As far as what they have to do with racing, nothing. That is all about marketing. "Sex sells" The average male wants a lusty wench to serve him his beer. We on this board may not be the average male. Women make great money doing these jobs. Most of them try and use it as a stepping stone for a better career.

I assume this is what you were talking about and I didn't get off topic.

First of all Alexandra, I would like to start out by saying that "Alexandra" is a beautiful name (no flirting intended). But to reply to your post:

I think at this day and age, sex, or the impression of sex sells. If you look at ads for different products, that image is sometimes distastefully admonished to the public. I would have to agree with what Postal said about women that jump at the chance to make a quick buck. Individual choice is what makes this a complicated issue. Oddly enough, this is being taken advantage of by marketers of certain products to portray a certain image. I would never stoop so low as to call any of it "ART", but there is a certain amount of creativity that goes along with selling products. I for one think that this type of advertising is too easily accessible to children and paints a certain image in their head about sex and about life in general. Advertising such as this could be done in a more discreet manor as to not offend anyone. If advertising such as this could somehow be distributed to the masses of adults only, then this image would probably be a little more tolerable. What I mean is that as a general concensus, adults have fairly good common sense. I mean that adults can understand that because you buy a Harley Davidson "V-Rod" doesn't mean that you will have naked women or scantily clothed women knocking on your door. Will this ever stop? No! It will actually get worse. Marketers try their best to satisfy the majority of their consumers and don't consider the feelings and emotions of those who don't represent a large part of their target market. It's an endless circle which evolves around the almighty dollar.

I think that others have hit the nail on the head, but I will say it in my own way. I am still trying to figure out what the relationship is between riding a racing bike and women's bodies- particularly their breasts.
the answer is nothing. Men like bikes and men like the female body, so putting them together just doubles the peasure. And as several have said marketeers understand this.

Is it part of the culture i.e., big fatty breasts are desirable by men that ride?
The answer here is NO. Men who ride do not have the same prefferences in women's bodies. So like tall, some like short, some like huge breasts, and some prefer moderate size breasts. The same logic holds true for rear ends.
Also, I wonder how some guys here don't see this as sexual or sexist- rather only nudity. Sure, if you are a knome and unable to be aroused you can see this as "art"
This one bothered me just a tad. Where are you getting the assumption that some guys here feel that way? I guess it is pretty safe to say "some guys". You can always find someone to fit any grouping.

Anyway, this is the first time I have seen your name. Are you new to the group? I am assuming you are female? Do you ride a Busa? I would encourage you to spend some time hanging out on this board with this group. You will soon see that there aren't too many of us that are shallow or fixated (if that is a word) on women's breasts and bikes. That is not what we are about, and not a big part of what we talk about.

This is coming from a person with a Marketing Degree from the University of South Florida

anytime you are marketing to pre-dominately male audience, a female model can make an incredible impact on how long a guy will look at the ad, this of course increases your chances of the product being "remembered" the next time he is at a store. When you boil it down, it's not that women are being "exploited", or negatively portrayed. Frankly, it's quite the opposite when you think about it. The fact that a simple ad with a female model can pursuade a man to spend x amount of dollars simply shows how powerful this marketing tactic is.

Men are VERY visual creatures, we like to look. The funny thing is that a majority of marketing professionals are women! They know our weaknesses guys!

The funny thing is that sex has actually lost some of it's appeal in marketing. If you watch as much TV as I do, you'd notice that comedy has been the newest and hottest marketing medium. This is easily seen in the latest "less filling, taste great" commercial with the two models catfighting.

The bottom line is this- Joe sees a half naked model on an ad, Joe decides to buy the product, which helps keep the factory open, which helps the economy by producing jobs.

Let me tell you what, I saw an ad with Tylene Buck saying to buy tofu and oat bran, so I'll be in the head for a couple more hours

To me whether something is exploitive is a difficult subject. It boils down to a matter of opinion. Personally, I don't think that it is exploiting women, but understand that some people feel otherwise.

I resolve it in my own mind by stating that it is a free country and if the "subject" freely elects to participate, and possibly be exploited, who an I to say that she (or he) shouldn't?
