You guys missed Darren(1k guy),  He almost lost it on the way home....he slid off the road into some dirt and brush.....He is fine, bike is dusty.  He never went down!

My pleasure to meet you all.....thanks for an awesome day.  Hope you Northern guys didn't get home too late.   Talk soon!  Vinny
Hey Vinny -

Great meeting you too..

glad Darren is ok. Sounds like he did the same thing I did on Saturday...

Any idea how long you are going to be deployed?

But don’t forget to include in the flame about how awesome of a save it was!!!

I held on to that puppy with everything I had lol
You talk about save, when TFox goes off the road and into a small ditch and gets awhat, minor, and I mean minor scratch... That's what you call unreal.

By the way Ron, How's the hip?

The hip is still a little sore. Nothing 4 motrins are taking care of.

Riding the bike actually made it feel better because it stretched out the muscle.

When I keep my leg straight for any extended period of time that is when it starts tos stifen up.

But all in all.. it is all good, thanks for askin

here's some pics; I didn't take any at Diedrich's at 7AM, as I'm barely functional at that hour, so here's the 2nd meet-up point at Pachanga. After everyone was together we had ~ 14-16 bikes I think...

Here's some of the first group...

Darren's 1K. When he's behind you the sun off the mirror screen looks like a hi-beam. Slick bike.

Thrasherfox's custom exhaust. When he opens it up, it scatters the birds out of the trees leaving something like a boat's wake of flying creatures behind him. Something to see...

Glad everything turned out ok and safe!

It was a pleasure riding with you guys and gals yesterday. Glad to meet all of you. Finally got to "ride" with Nelson. Sorry about the stop on the 15 Thrasher, I didn't know if you had a hurt yourself or not. Next time I'll finish up my family duties earlier and get some rest so I can meet up with everyone else for the ride up ( need to get in some pics

) Good to meet some of the O.C., SouthBay and SD (my hometown) guys, too. Many thanks to Charles for putting this together.

Let's start making plans for the next one. Maybe up the coast and let Thrasher and the NoCal folks show us their backyard?

What a great ride. No bonefide crashes, not tickets, light traffic, 16 riders total(12 Busas), and lots-o-twisties.

Always a funtime meeting more hayabusa.org guys

Trying to download pics.....everytime I do on a thread that was not started by me I have problems..... I pick the photo then it dissappears when I hit the post button???

Great two days of ridin'.  Excellent to meet everyone and hang out w/all y'all.  That's the part I enjoy the most:  All the socializing.  Nice to be able to unload a buncha bullshid stories onto a buncha unsuspecting people now and then!  LMAO!

I have the pictures of the aftermath of Thrash's Wild Ride.  We tried to get him to recreate it so we could get the whole thing on video.  He wouldn't do it, though.  Bummer.  I still don't think he actually wrecked.  He's just looking for sympathy.

Here's Wag's theory of what REALLY happened:  Thrash pulled over to the side of the road 'cause he was tired.  Y'see, we kept him up past his bedtime the night before.  Anyhoo, as he went to park his bike, he put his foot down in some gravel and it went right out from under him and he dropped the bike.

Rather than admit that (I mean, who would?), he pushed it over into the ditch and made some scuff marks in the dirt around the area to make it look like he had just had the closest call you could possibly have.  Even claimed to have fallen on his leg but I looked and there ain't any bruising.  Still, Thrash, it was a nice story.

Just kiddin' ya, Thrash.  The truth is, I'm completely amazed that he survived the experience.  I took a bunch of "aftermath" pictures and if they turned out okay, I'll post 'em up here tonight or tomorrow.

And yes, let's get another So. CA ride going!
