Busa won't start, any suggestions?

Wonder if anyone can help me, I have a busa engined car with a '99 engine installed. It was running great until yesterday when it simply spluttered to a halt and won't restart.

The symptoms are that when I turn the ignition I can hear the fuel pump prime ok (confirmed by a pressure gauge), but when I try to crank the motor the starter turns, but the fuel pump does not run - I suspect I also have no spark, almost as if the ECU is preventing the motor starting.

What I've observed/done so far:
  • There is plenty fuel
  • The plugs are dry
  • The fuel pump relay clicks for the 3 second prime, but not while cranking
  • I've bypassed the fuel pump relay and had the pump running constantly, still won't fire
  • Removed my powercommander, no change
  • Replaced all fuses

So can I have any suggestions of what would allow the starter to turn, but not provide any spark/fuel.

I had thought the kickstand sensor, but would have thought this would prevent the starter from turning?

Could it be the Crank Position Sensor? Is it simple to test this with a multimeter?

Anything else? ECU/ECM is a possibility but if this is fried I wouldn't have expected it to prime the pump on ignition?

any help you can give would be most appreciated....:please:
