Where I live we have 2 local mountain ranges, some great roads around the mountains and around the dams, heaps of twisty country roads from mile after miles of fast open sweepers to tight low gear hairpins and two local racetracks.
There is a dragstrip about 35 miles away from home that I use but not many of my mates are interested. Straight lines and top speed isn't something a lot of folk get excited about with the company I keep. We plan all our rides to avoid the highways and anything with long straight sections normaly.
Stuff like the S1RR / ZX10R / new R1 etc seem to get a lot more interest than ZX14's and Busa's as they suit where we live.
I still prefer the big bruisers even if they are hard work through the tight stuff...
