Busa stampede--Lambs' trip

Rode Lombard street, somehow amongst all the fog, we found a hot spot. Bike overheated riding to the top and we stopped to scope the scene, smell the clutch fibers burning of the cars coming up the hill in the mile long traffic jam to act like an idiot riding down Lombard

We walked the steps and scoped the fools acting like this was the first time there pic had ever been taken and found a sad scene at the bottom. That street is packed with residences and driveways. If youve never been there, the people watching on Lombard is beyond priceless.

We contemplated righting the bike but decided that we wouldnt. Way too many cameras around and plenty of blame to be passed around if someone wanted to take something out of context

Flying across northern california back to the Peppermill casino in Reno, Lamb had the priviledge of showing Lisa the glory of the lane share. The lane share or lane split. Just awesome, second hand to me but she had other thoughts, like "Why isn't this everywhere" and "people on the east coast would never go for this"

Having returned to the Peppermill casino, spudley got to work on Lambs sprocket. Doyle had a sprocket at his house and the rear was taken off with a pacjack. It holds the rear up slightly off the ground using the swingarm spools. Thanks Spud, you rock and Thanks Doyle!

Somewher in one of the other threads is Spud working his arse off for Lamb!!!!

So Friday came and the inevitable muliple person ride with 14 -20 riders was gonna happen. As discussed earlier, being a lil gun-shy about the big group rides brought Lamb an idea. Do the group ride but do it backwards. Taking a smaller crowd and helping both my psychy and the ability to stop and start at a much faster pace potentially. What an epic ride was had. Over 400 miles. <Markleeville to the Ebbets pass towards angels camp. South to Sonora pass-108- over to the 395, back over monitor pass to Markleeville again. The exact opposite ride Lamb has taken the previous 2 years and the opposite of the group this year. So myself, Lcb, and Bubba headed out.

This was a long day and that brings us to the last. the group shot and the awards banquet. About this time Lamb grew weary of the camera but did manage to snap a few shots.

Overall, Stampede 2011 was a huge success. 1600 miles in 6 days and only 200 of slab. LCB can just ride and ride. She never wants to stop and that added to all the things we were able to see. The trackday was fun and fast. the big mountains seemed bigger than ever and there was only very minor incidences on the road. no injuries or worse, no tickets, at the stampede. If anybody thinks it's too far or too expensive or too anything, you are missing out. The people are great and the attitude is laid back and fun! Please add to this post and make your story come alive if you feel Lamb left anything out. Man, he left so much out. Feel like I rode for a week straight.

Lamb knows Scar doesnt post here any longer, but the amount of work he puts in to make everything comfortable so you can just enjoy the ride is incredible! Hats off Scar!

Til later
Lamb!

thanks lamb, sure look forward to riding with you again! Doyle

...also, Lamb tried the zero gravity touring screen and was most impressed. All the benefits that are gained from the stock to the double bubble are gained again with the use of the touring screen. lamb will never go back! Its broad tall not just in the middle!!~

Those were great LITTLE pictures Lamb. It looks like it was a very cool trip. I would love to get out that way some day.

great pics, thanks for the memories, sorry I had to miss it this year.
