Busa down today

So I was headed up paris mountain this afternoon. Just cruisin, not even ridin hard, but I was headed around a corner and found some leaves. . . It was a leaft hand corner and there was a road off to the right about half way through the corner, so when I started sliding from the leaves and realized I wasn't gonna make it all the way through the turn I tried to make it to the road off to the right, but couldn't quite make it to that one either, so I stood it straight up and rode into the drainage ravine on the side of the adjacent road. I tried to keep it up, but it ended up being about 2 feet deep in leaves. . . That was fun to get out of. . . But anyway, on to the pics!

Dayuuuum, sorry for your misfortune. You can get her back to perfection in no time. Count your blessings, others have been waaaay less fortunate than you. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes in the re-build.

Anyone know where I can get some parts at a cheap rate? I know of a store on ebay I can get em from, but it's 300 for the front and 400 for the side. . . I'd like something a little less expensive if I can find it. I will definitely be getting some frame sliders as well.

Believe me, I'm very happy I came out as well as I did. The only that happened to me was my arm is a little sore and I have a really bad headache, but other than that I'm fine. No doubt I'm extremely thankful I came out that good. Being as it was on paris mountain I could have very easily gone over the side of the mountain if it had been farther up the mountain.

That just sucks my friend....I guess the next step is to decide the dollar amount of repair vrs. your deductible, etc. etc. Anyways, let us know how it unfolds! Raydog

Deductable is $1000 and it's gonna be just under that to get her back to normal, unless I can find another place to get the plastics that isn't as expensive. But add those, the signal, and the sliders and it's just under $1000

if you can find plastic pieces for $300 to 400 bucks that is the cheapest i've ever heard of... glad your ok!!

What length sliders do y'all recomend? I was good protection, but don't want it to look bad. What's kind of the "standard" I guess?

Congratulations on avoiding injury, especially with the holiday season upon us. In my limited experience don't be too surprised to find additional damage once you remove panels. You will need some good light and patience to go over it, sorry about the bike, glad YOU ARE okay.

I got some of the extended 5" sliders and didn't like them. They looked goofy. I then got the standard 3.5" sliders and they look much better. Hope this helps.

Is it hard to replace the fairings, (including the front) on a sportbike? I've always wondered...

And all the accident damaged was cosmetics only right?

Thanks amad. It's probably gonna be awhile before I can afford to do anything, but I'm gonna have to get her back to normal as fast as I can. I can't be lettin her sit in the garage for long. . .
