Burying The Needle.....

Not long ago I was running down one of my regular straights.I held it for as long as I could until the needle hit the stop, pull in the clutch and find out I have another gear left! Has this happened to anyone else? Something must be wrong. Also I have heard countless times about the bike "shutting off" when it reaches the 186 mark. Ive been completely wound in 6th gear a couple of times and its never happened to me.

It's not really relevant, but my brother's friend snapped the speedo and tacho needles off their bike at a track day once...

I usually never make it to 6 th WOT. I ve done it in 5 th plenty of times. No need for the last gear at those speeds as there really isnt much around to keep up or usually peeps dont have the balls to really go that fast.
