Brembo Brake Upgrade

thanx guys. not sure if the caliper upgrade is gonna be worth it. still deciding. it brakes so good now but I was thinking it could brake even better. I'm definitely gonna upgrade the MS and get some fluid cups. I already have steel braided lines and EBC pro-lite rotors with upgraded pads. I really don't have any issues stopping but maybe I just "Think" they stop great lol IDN jus lookn to waste more money on my bike I guess

Well remember good brakes are not just about ultimate stopping power, it's about feel. With the MC things will get a lot better and that's probably all you need for most applications. The EBC stuff performs very well too in my experience. There is a little more feel and power in the Brembos but that's a big step investment wise.

I have some zx14 master cyclinder clutch and brake I'd probably sell. Was going to upgrade mine but haven't had the time in 2 years to do it.

I went the cheap route on calipers and just swapped my genII ones for gsxr monoblock one. I also followed jonh's thread about his setup. The other thing I didn't do and regret, was get rizoma cups. Now I know why they cost so much. These knockoffs are garbage and I have to keep an eye on them lately since my clutch one doesn't seal right at times. I need to spend the money and upgrade before the fluid ruins my paint.

Did the Brembo brake upgrade couple of years ago on my Gen 2.. Probably the best coin spent on my bike. Went for the Brembo HP calipers, ebc extreme pro pads , galfer wave rotors, galfer braided lines and a brembo radial rcs 19 or 18 ( forgetting the model number) master cylinder. Like already pointed out, the bike feels much in control under regular as well as heavy braking and you can brake late coz the bite is immense. The regular set up has that spongy feel .Being a big heavy girl a brake upgrade does wonders to it.

I always ran EBC HH pads in my bikes but the tried Brembo Road and Track pads on my Busa, which imo offered both more feel and stopping power, which I need with a supercharger on. Still thinking about Brembo Calibers tho just coz they look so damn good :race::super:

Any questions, call PJ, and tell him i referred you, and he will take care of you.
Also, make sure you ask for the Radial brake line adapters, or you will have a problem with the length of the lines.
All of this is an upgrade for the Gen1 forks, and calipers.
If you want to upgrade to Gen 2 forks, it can be way better, with Brembo HP calipers, but that many more $$$$

GIXER, what are the adapters you are referring to? I checked the website and did not see anything, are they something you have to ask for specifically?

I want to do this upgrade as well but already have braided lines and would prefer not to have to buy extended lines if possible.
