Breather hose and tank drain removal tips

I'm currently in the process of changing my swingarm and need to get the gas tank off. I'm having trouble removing the breather hose and tank drain hose off the underside rear part of the tank. Any tips on getting these off? I'm scarred the hose may split if I pull too hard and they aren't budging. It's hardly any room to get my hands in there.

Leave the hoses attached to the tank, pull the hoses out from the frame with the tank.

Where exactly do these hoses go in the frame?
