Break-in Secrets

I've read this before. Sort of extreme, but personally, I believe it. If you notice the manual says to "Vary the RPMs" or something like that. This article seems sort of like that anyway. I've consulted many "know it alls" about it and they all had differing views. Just like octane, tire pressure, heaven and hell etc etc

I spent my break-in a combination of that article and the manual's requirements. In other words, I "ran it hard" but kept below 5500 for the first 600. I was constantly speeding up FULL THROTTLE OPEN, then letting off completely. First I warned my buddies to stay away from me cuz I'd be shooting past them and slowing way down fast. It was add riding all those miles like that, but now I'm done and my bike is fine. I don't know if it realyl helped or not cuz this is my only Busa. I think it pulls great - but that's a natural Busa ;)
