Hi All,

Came across this yesterday, and thought that looks cool..
Wondering if anybody has seen, tried or heard of these before?
Wasn't that expensive, so thinking I may grab one just to play and see what it's like.

This is the same, different branding . . NZ local car accessory specialist shop, how does the price compare to your Australian offering?

That's where I saw it, at the local Jaycar store.. :D

I was looking for something today and saw them under a different brand.
Did a quick google search and picked one up from ebay for $28 delivered, local supplier (hopefully)

Anyways, I will wait for it to land and see what it's like.

The specs say 1mA, but that could be when "talking" to it via bluetooth. When I get it, I'll hook up the multi-meter and see what it's pulling in idle mode.
Found the manual too

These Bluetooth devices like this particular one are really unnecessary and a bit of a gimmick really.
I have a volt meter built into my Bel radar detector and have that displayed all the time so I’m monitoring my charging system all the time while I’m riding.
As far as testing my battery, I have a 1 year old Yuasa installed and have it on a battery tender whenever the bike is parked, so I know it’s always at optimum charge capacity.
If I bought one of these it would be a toy to play with, I’d be bored with it in no time, and it would be a waste of money for me, I’ve been down this road many times lol.

Agree totally. All my bikes have had battery tenders connected when not ridden more than 2-3 days.
And it may very well be a cheap pos, but for $28, I'm willing to see what it does.

From reading the manual, what I do like is the ability to do: (below)
Which seems more than just a volt meter, and maybe useful if it works as described.
Even connecting for diag purposes only then disconnecting??
And, yes, I can do the same with a multimeter for some testing, but my Fluke doesn't have 12Hr or ride record function.
