Blown Head Gasket?

First turbo system, first problem. I went drag racing this weekend and broke something. I was about to the end of the quarter mile and the engine started to make a noise. It sounds high in the engine. I have the engine almost ready to drop out of the frame. Just waiting on the spanner nut socket. My question is if a blown head gasket can cause a ticking sound. It a sound like loose valves, but I checked all tappet clearence and everything looks good. Any input would be great. I guess I will know for sure when I get the engine out so I can tear it down. Just looking for some things it could be.

Head gasket is fine. But it melted #4 piston. Time to upgrade to a 1363 with 10 to 1 pistons.

What was your setup when this happened? Stock engine? how much boost? PC?

Stock engine, power commander, 6 psi boost. Had a very bad exhaust leak and leaned out a cylinder.

Damn, first run and it blew up! Ouch, Not good! Blew only at 6psi? What fuel you run?

What kit are you running? Did you have it professionally tuned?
