Okay, so the "it's not running at all" issue is solved, we have the return of an old friend called "only running on 3 in the rain". Oh, and a slipping clutch. 
So, the clutch is, I think, down to a sticking clutch actuation rod in the slave cylinder so I can fix that. The running on 3 cylinders, though, is another intermittent electrical fault. It's been to a bike mechanic before who checked all the coils, changed the plugs, air filter, did a basic service and that seemed to solve it. This latest round of electrical work seemed to solve it too. For a few days.
I'm just about ready to rip it apart and sell it for parts on eBay, my wife is suggesting a nice, reliable, car. So two questions. One: WTH is wrong with it?
Two: Anybody in the UK want a 1999 Hayabusa? £2500 and it's yours. No haggling, no refunds, no joke.
