Bleeding the Clutch

I had to take the clutch line off and i was going to re bleed it and get the old fluid out. On the reservoir cap it says to use DOT 4 brake fluid. Do i really use that or do i use clutch fluid? And the black rubber thing in the cap is it suppose to be flat or do i let the thing hang all the way down?

Use DOT 4 brake fluid. Just compress rubber back to orginal shape.

Thats what i thought just want to make sure. How hard is it to rebleed the brake lines and get the old fluid out? Is it something worth doing?

Yes. Most say once a year although your mileage may vary.

I cant remember how many miles on the bike due to the engine being in pieces and the battery disconnected but i think there is about 21,xxx to 24,xxx miles on the bike. It might have been rebleed once in the past 4 years.
