Bike kinda stalls in 2nd gear

My buddy has a 05 busa. In second gear it will stall or seem like the throttle is cut then back into it again. No FI lights come on. We replaced the clutch thinking it may be slipping in second. Any similar experience or ideas...Thanks

come to find out it was a bent shift fork and he is having a undercut tranny being built
