Guys/Gals,

I have a big question. Where can I find the tool to remove the two clover-leaf looking bolts that hold the upper-tree on. The bolts are located under the top triple-tree (black) cover. It doesn't require a standard allen wrench. The shape of the head similar to a clover with a small pin in the middle. I've used wrenches like this before but haven't seen them in a clover shape. Any help would be deeply appreciated. According to the shop manual, it's called a Torx bit and the part # is 09930-11920 (JT40H). I'm asking because I want to know if I can purchase the tool elsewhere besides buying it directly from you-know-who.

sounds like you need a 40 torx
should be able to get at harbor frieght or craftsman (sears)
tho im not clear zactly where the bolt is

ok re-read it -- thats a safety torx bit #40 (pin in the middle)
lemmie look around

Shop around to find a vender you trust -- if you already have a standard 40 torx -- you can drill out the "pin" and use that.

Usually stuff with these bolts means DNFW (do not "fool" with), so be sure to take all safety precautions recommended in the manual.

I got mine off whit a regular torx bit... nothing special.
