I have a stock 2000 Busa with just slipons and a powercommander. What do you guys recommend for all around use. I've had the bike since new and the best ive seen on speedo is 165mph so top speed is becoming less of an issue in my old age

I ride most comfortably in 4th.. RPMs are low and it's a nice cruising speed- Plus you can always do a few short blasts, since there's always plennnnnty of throttle w/a Busa

Stick with the stock gear ratios or go to rear of 42 for your use.

Ninjaeater, thanks for the reply.  Am I better off going to a 42 rear or a 16 front?  Will a 42 rear fit with my original chain?

I would just go to a 42 rear at first and see if it works for you. If you want more then go to the 16 front. Unless your sprokets are wearing out from mileage then do it all at the same time including a chain. Sounds like you have low mileage at the present so just go wqith the 42 rear. You shoul be able to use the same chain if it is stock lenght.

Ninja Eater is correct. With a 42 rear you will have no chain issues, easy install, and excellent acceleration.

16/42 here. I've used this combo for a while. Get a speedo' healer.
