kind of a Suzuki fan...so it's a bit biased....just curious though

would have added bikes like the V60 and the Bennelli Tornado, but if I can't afford it I'm not addin it

I voted for the GSXR750, because before it existed, there were no true race replica bikes. Manufacturers took the approach of modifying bikes for production racing, then Suzuki said, hey lets make a production race bike so we can win. Then the entire race replica thing happened. The original GSXR750 is one of the most influential and important bikes since the Japanese started making 4cyl. large displacement bikes (the original CB750).

Hayabusa all the way. I just can't imagine anything else. Maybe because I haven't really ridden many other bikes.

You know this is a tough subject the GSXR750 of course started it all and ruled for decades, But then the CBR900RR came along and took awsome power and handling, put it on a diet and shocked the superbike industry. But of all the bikes, (being a previous owner of the two I just mentioned), I would have to say that the Busa is the greatest superbike of all time. Not just because I own one, But because it has everything. If you want to carve out the canyons it can do it. If you want to go on a two hundred mile ride you can do it and still walk at the end. And of course no one in the world can dispute her horses under the cowling, she is the big girl on the block. thumbs-up.gif thumbs-up.gif thumbs-up.gif thumbs-up.gif

I have to go with the CBR 900 just because I want one so bad...I mean, jetted, full exhaust and advanced timing( K&N filter of course), they run like crazy and handle like a 600.

Actually the sweetest bike I ever rode was a 1994 Suzuki RF900 Black with purple trim. 16,386 miles later <6 months>
some reprobate stole her.

I wanted a RF600 so bad back in..uhh.. 94/95 I guess... I was reaeeeally close to having the parents talked into it ( I was 16 at the time) Unfortunatly (or fortunatly maybe) they decided I didn't need a 600cc bike and I ended up with a ex250.

Your post just made me think of it.. A beautiful bike.. it just never sold for some reason. Loved those ferarri style grille things on the fairings.

I worked for two dealers and rode Ducati's,can you say uncomfortable/Honda, excellent qaulity, but so nice it is actually bland/ Yamaha, just feels weird/ Moto Guzzi, way weirder than Yami/ Enfield, 1950's bike remade in India, need I say more/ Triumph, fun, still has major English problems/ Suzuki, hands down that 00 GSXR750 is the most nimble well balanced bike I ever rode, I still need one of those in my paddock, and the Busa, well you all know we love those...

That leaves me the Kawi. I had a 99 and a 00 ZX-9. People can say what they want, but with a corbin seat, I am 6ft, it was one of the most comfortable bikes I ever rode. 300 hundred miles a day was the norm. I stayed in N.E. and put 12,500 from March till Dec in 99. I wasn't the fastest or the quickest, but we are not on the track and only 3 of my group of 20 have race licenses, including me. It was a good all around bike. It had character. THE ZX-12, YUCK, LOOKS KINDA PRETTY, BUT IT'S A SLED.

My new 02 Black SE will be in my truck in 10 days and I can write an ode to Busa this coming season after I ride it enough.

I don't what you ride as long as you are!

Oh yeah. I didn't vote because my choice wasn't there and I haven't ridden a Busa long enough yet to outright say it is the best.

The Busa by far is the best and most refined bike I have ever been on...I'll always own a Busa...

Busa rules is all fine and Dandy..Just love mine...I just havn't seen a Busa on the grid for AMA or WSB..thought that was the question..Best Superbike!!!..Either Edwards RC51 or Bayliss's 998 Duc...Let my beatings begin.. face7.gif

I like what you said about the Original GSXR750's..
Maybe because I happen to own one, mine is second year, a 1986 GSXR750 "SlingShot", in pieces now.
I originally owned an '87, till someone took it to their home, unknown till l8r by me.
You can litterally pick up the whole frame and swing arm on 2 fingers.
Was a blast to ride them new, very flickable, and responsvie, unlike my old CB750F.
Put an 1100 in it, an WHAM flexin' / runnin' little muthas! and wheelies happily.

Best perf superbike ever.. dunno, but I da^* sure love my Busa..

Peace,
Busafied
