I recently purchased some extensions for my 2002 Hayabusa. When installing these extensions we noticed some interesting points on the arm. I am wondering if these are normal on hayabusa or if they are mistakes while manufacturing the arm. First of all, the left side of the stock arm tapers in to the right, making the extensions flare out. This is solved when the wheel is put back on and the nut it tightened it pulls the extensions in, but I was told this is very dangerous and bad on the stock swing arm because the aluminum is very thin. The bike rides fine with the extensions on. Though when you put the extensions on, there is almost a 3/4 of an inch gap that the extensions close between the spacers and the break hanger from the stock arm tapering out. Any help would be great. I can send pictures, just ask !
