Beginning Woodworking

Ive been slowly acquiring tools as Ive been working on the house. I built a miter saw work bench which came out great. Now working on incorporating a dust box in a more built in setting. That said, I just recently got a DeWalt router. Any tips from y'all "pros" out there that do this stuff more regularly than me? Used the router for 1st time but only made a beveled edge on a 2x4
