Bates light-duty boots, $50 shipped

Saw these deals on slickdeals.net and couldn't pass. These are really more like tall sneakers (trainers for you Brits) than real motorcycle boots. They have only minimal ankle and heel protection (more than sneakers, of course). The first 'Beltline' model has a decent heel cup and stiff'ish' reinforcement in the red mesh fabric in the sides. Had forgot that I ordered them and was surprised by a big box from Wolverine on my doorstep last week. Wolverine owns a lot of quality product lines and I didn't know they had bought the Bates brand. These boots appear to be very well mades are super comfortable. The Beltline has a bit of a heel (wish it had more) to hook onto your pegs. They give great feel on the pegs and controls when riding. They are also nice to walk in, certainly better than my real sport boots or even my vented summer short boots (which offer more protection). The only thing I haven't figured out is the padded tongue which has some sort of elastic strap across the top (to hold the laces?), but the tongue sort of pops out over my jeans. Anyway, I really like them and for $50, nice to have some casual boots for kicking around.

Just ordered a pair for my wife and I, can't beat that man. Amazon has them for $195 thanks for the heads up.

Or ‘motorcycle’ boots. I wouldn’t wear either on a motorcycle. I like the grey one but it’s not available in my size. Neither is the red one.
