Bar ends

This may sound like a dumb question but what are the purposes of bar ends? The reason I ask is because I put some chrome bar ends on that aren't as heavy as the stock ones. I did this at the same time I got a 240 kit and changed my mirrors. Vibration seems to have increased in the bars and mirrors. Was wondering if heavier bar ends would eliminate this problem.

That's all that I know they do, is help retard the bar vibrations.

After I installed the Heavy Throttlemeisters I got two things. First a throttle lock, and second NO VIBRATION of any kind. They're worth the money just eliminating the vibs

I don't understand why people take them off. It's all about comfort if you ACTUALLy ride.
