Certainly, that is the life question, what do we ever need?
I guess that's why we like a bike like the Hayabusa, do we need a bike like this? Of course not, do we want a bike like this? Damn right!
I always think of a weapon like that in the hands of an unstable individual who would use it to harm others and having a weapon such as this would make stopping him difficult..Just my opinion however.

Big fun factor,if one could afford to buy and feed it.Actually fairly common caliber(s)in long range shooting.

I had a girl friend who's dad had a 300 win mag. looked remarkably like any other rifle in the cabinet Called it his elephant gun although I don not think ever was in Africa 
He liked big calibers. Had a 7mm or maybe it was an 11 mm Mauser of some kind too. We all called him Sir. every single time. lol
