Hi all, was not sure where to post this
but i own a tl1000r and want to upgrade too busa calipers, i have been told the 2000 model gold ones work great but, are they all the same from 99 - 07?

i can see a pair of black 03 ones on ebay ,are these the same bolt hole spacing disc size etc etc as the 2000 model ones i know people have used?

essentailly i need 2 know will any of the gen 1 busa calipers be useable for what i want, and is there a certain year caliper that seemed better than others ?

:beerchug: thanks in advance

I think there may be a difference in some of the piston sizes on certain yrs, I bought a set of chrome ones and the pistons were different but as far as bolting up I beleive they are all the same.

Gold and Black, Not sure what yr the black ones came on but I thought they were the earlier yrs.

I will go look and maybe someone else will chime in

is there a wanted to buy section? cause i would like a good pair with good pads?
bearing in mind im in oz:laugh:

Whats the difference between TL and Busa 6-pots ?

I never thought the Mk1 Busa brakes were that great.
I've owned a couple, and ridden many others,
with better lines, fluid and pads they are useable but never anything special.

The Mk2 radial's are waaaay better and the B-Kings extra radial master cylinder
that the later Busa lacks is no bad thing.

Man you are getting me worried lol, the 6 pot tlr calipers are terrible, my lever travels to the bar!! ive pulled calipers apart and serviced them, new fluid correctly drained and ss lines added too. have good pads in but omg they are ****,
every time i need to brake hard im :please:

also perhaps the busa calipers combines with a gsxr m/c might make a good combo

Im sure there will be plenty of folk singing their praise, but I've ridden a lot better.

Got braided lines, good fluid and pads on my Mk1 Busa and at their best I rate
the stock B-King brakes with their factory rubber lines better straight out of the crate.

Spoke to a few folk about Radial mastercylinders. The B-King has one,
neither of the Mk1 or Mk2 Busa's do. I might try one on my Busa next.
The Brembo RSC19 keeps getting mentioned and is often recomended.

this is my " other " tlr, im not wanting to go to extravagant on this one but my " good one "
has 02 gsxr forks with radial calipers and a brembo rcs.
M/c's do make a big difference i have found

Im think the front calipers on a TLR and GenI busa's are the same. I know the pads are the same
