Appearance Mods ideas for my 2010 Pearl White Busa

Hey Ram

Registered
Greetings from Mumbai, India
I got my Pearl White 2010 Busa (She is called Despoine), in April 2010 and did 7200 kms till now, most of them within the city and few sunday rides heading off to the nearby hill station Lonavala.

The only aftermarket i got for Despoine was Two Brothers Carbon Fibre Slip-Ons.
She is now transformed into a Tigress with a wonderous Roar. I love the CF Two Brothers.

Wanted to do some Appearance mods and get a new Look for her for 2011.
Was looking at getting some decals, some LED lights.
Oh yes, got a HID H7 5000k, but yet to fit it

Looking for some ideas from members here who have done mods here.
Thanks in advance for all your assistance guys

1. screens for your fairing
2. stickers for rims
3. "lighted" Kanji on fairing and mirrors
4. plugs for frame holes
5. frame covers
6. change the color of your rims
7. change the color of your stickers

Upgrade those brakes to Brembo's...see Pashnit website (sponsor). Pick a color theme for accenting, get new seats that match your theme. What about a Power Commander too? How about GPS, Radar Detector/Laser Jammer. I could go all day, back to work now. Post up pics bro.

I think he mean this...
1 screen of fairing are the metal screen that goes on the fairing to cover the openings.
4 plugs for the frame are the plugs that cover the 3 holes on the frame
5 is a plastis cover that will cover all your frame I seen them in chrome not sure if other colors
7 the original stickers

For all that you can check some sponsors here or ebay
Good luck!!!

Ram, fairing screens are wire mesh pre-formed screens we cover all the fairing openings with. We carry the kits from PPM Customs.

Here's how they look on my Busa... (translate this to a Gen-II). Personally, I think it's one of the best all-time low-cost appearance mods for this bike.

Other #1 thing to do in terms of appearance mods is get your inner dash panels painted to match. Nothing I hated more on this bike than the stock black crocodile pattern. Beyond ugly. Design afterthought when they built the Busa. I had mine sanded smooth, then painted. Best mod ever when it comes to appearance mods.

See how eye-catching the dash panels are? They blend seamlessly. When you put them next to a stock busa with fugly black dash panels, no comparison.

You have the Pearl White so next idea is to start carrying the color throughout the bike.

Travel guys like myself love the Bagster Tank Cover

Img_0240-450.jpg

I had my mirrors painted blue, front brake carriers painted blue

...then had a custom seat made,

even tossed the clunky stock pegs and went with sexy looking Oberon pegs (sourced from the UK).

Brake Pedal & Shift Lever also replaced with folding model from Emgo.

You asked about Frame Plugs. Another low-cost item to clean up the appearance of the bike. You can go further with Axle plugs too.

You can paint them, polish them, chrome them, or swap them. I hated the stock dark color of the stock rims, so I swapped them out for a set of Suzuki TL1000 rims which is direct swap for Gen-I.

Here is the stock:

And here are the TL1000 rims. What an immense difference.

If you want to clean up the rear of the bike, toss that horribly ugly rear fender and smooth out the tail. Easiest is install an undertail. Hot Bodies is most common here in the states for Gen-II.

Toss that fender... get something like this. (note frame plugs)

Tossing your stock screen is also most common appearance mod. Pic above is the R Series windscreen. Lot of windscreen options. Everyone has their favorites.

I own 9 windscreens for my busa so I've tried a couple.

You don't have to get a custom seat made, just re-skin it.

Great low-cost mod and can make an huge difference in the appearance of the bike. I've got two seats & prefer this one. Not sure if Second Look is still in business, but we've still got LuiMoto in Canada making these.

Just recover your existing seat & done.

I ride with the stock the most: more rounded, easier to drag knees .

If you ride the bike vs. just stare at it, you'll need to fiddle with brakes. Swapping out the rotors and give you day & night change to the look.

Here are some options:

Suzuki Hayabusa Brake Rotors, Galfer, EBC, PFR Series, Moto-Master, RIS Designs, Chrome | Pashnit Moto

I'm a big fan of Galfer of course, but we sell all those brands in the link above.

Don't want to do fronts? Low-cost is replace the rear for a wave rotor. Sexy.
