In less than three weeks, a University of Minnesota student and a college student from Michigan will set out on a two-month moped excursion across the U.S. with the mission of spreading awareness about worldwide human trafficking.

U of M student Jonathan Stockeland and Brady Mulder of Kuyper College in Michigan will travel the back roads of about 30 states at a top speed of 37 mph speaking with people and to church congregations about the need to fight child labor and sex trafficking.

The Minnesota Daily reports the students estimate the trip will cost less than $1,000 for food and fuel. The two will sleep in ditches, yards, forests and — if they’re lucky — churches or homes. Stockeland and Mulder sold their cars to finance the trip, and are bringing only tents and sleeping bags.

Students... They've got too much free time, and the need to feel they are making an impact on society. They gotta go where the humans are being enslaved - but that's too dangerous, right?
