Hi gang!

I switched jobs and now I am working with Universal Technical Institute (Auto) and Motorcycle/Marine Institute; the 3 of them are located in Orlando, FL.  That's why you have not seen me online lately...very busy!

Well...since I know I can always count on our lovely board, I was wondering if any of you has a need or knows of anyone in need of techs on this 3 areas.  We have students from all over the states and graduations running every 3 weeks.  I would greatly appreciate you all helping us give this students a change to move forward into a career on what they love doing.  We can send their resume and transcript for current students in order to setup interviews and for graduates who still do not have a job as long as they approve of it.

Since there are campuses all over the states, we input the job openings in the system so that all the Employment Specialists (like me) have access to them and can send students your way as well.

If anyone is interested in more information on what courses are offered, which certs they graduate with, etc...please contact:

most shops i have been at dont like to hire fresh grads for two reasons-
1--performing the work in school and turning wrenches for flat rate are two different things
2--most fresh grads need top dollar to live and pay student loans--this leaves little room to work your way up -

truth is bike shops get techs in one of two ways--grow em, or steal them from other shops-

Vanessa,

Glad to see ya again...typing anyway. I don't know much about the motorcycle shops in the area, but I'll keep my ears open.

Anyway, it seems I see ads for Bill Herd Chevy(in Sanford I think) all the time on the job boards. Always looking for some kind of automotive tech.

It might be worth a call.

Well...they gotta learn somewhere/somehow, don't ya think?

GOOD LUCK, BUSINESS IS PRETTY SLOW RIGHT NOW. MATTER OF FACT IT'S BEEN KINDA SLOW FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS(NOT GOOD NEWS) AND THE AUTO MAKERS ARE CUTTING FLAT RATE TIMES LIKE CRAZY.
