its called a Hayosung. i came up on a guy riding one today. it said hayosung on the side of the tank and i was like what the hell is this. then i looked at the front and it looks just like the hayabusa. same light config and all. couldnt tell what size it was but it had a skinny tall tire on the back. i tried to google it but all i came up with was this....

I think they've been advertising in Cycle World (full page ads). I think that the manufacturer is in Korea.

Barely one step above the JUNK Chinese scooters, dirtbikes and ATVs that have been flooding the US market.

Hard to make use of a warranty when there's no dealer network.

either chinese or korean...utter trash...got a local riding bud who owns a shop that specializes in sportbike fabrication goodies...talked to him today about the hyosung's...and he told me that one of the stealerships down his way in North Palm Beach took a franchise package of'em...then sold a few and basically?...can't keep them on the road...bike breaks...no parts....customers pi$$ed....then they call my bud to fab shid up for them just to rig the bikes good enough to get'im "roadable" again and then return it to the customer...and pray for the warranty to run out before it breaks again....he also mentioned that they are so shoddy that more often than not?...ya break three other things trying to fix whatever broke in the first place...all snap together, oddball fastener disposable crap...a true throw-away bike.

yet coming on strong in te advertising department.....real strong....remember "Dihatsu"?...kinda business model.

They are KOREAN bikes. Its good to see someone making newbie friendly bikes that are also decent looking however if they are anything like the Kia and Hyundai cars when it comes to reliability then it might be an issue.Lets see cuz everyone right now has new hyosungs so you wont know until a yr or so until the bikes start getting some miles on em.

I've also heard that the Hyosung is a POS...but as far as Kia goes.....do some research.
Currently one of the most reliable autos on the market.

I work at a VW/Audi/Kia store. At any given point in time, look in our shop. You wont see any late model Kias. Period.

hey MJN...

not to pee in your cheerios.. but it's because the kia owners gave up and gave them to charity...

can't afford to fix em'.. thats why you never see em.

lol VW/Audi... good... Kia...junk..

if you ever really start looking at the hysung whatevers you won't buy one.. absoloutly cheapest parts available slapped together in the cheapest possible way.

all they would be good for is getting a newbie biker interested and then making he/she decide they didn't like it because of the POS bike they had.

There was an article in Cycle world about this a few months back. It said that they have licensed the SV650 motor from Suzuki for this thng! It is Carbureted but it is actually close in performance to the Suzuki. The rest is as stated not well executed but give them some time and they will be beating on the Japanese' door.
