anybody ever have a hgh pitched ringing sound come from their bike?

Just noticed the other day that my 2002 would make a high pitched ringing noise when sitting... it seems to be totally random and will come and go. It doesn't effect the bike at all though when I'm riding it.

I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered this and what the source of the problem is? and if so how did you fix it?

I have heard of a high pitch whistle sound before. There was even a video posted of it. I can't remember the exact cause but I do remember it was an easy fix.

it sounds similar to the fuel pump but a little quieter... i've noticed the sound happens sometimes after a ride like when the bike is cooling off? I doubt its something serious but can get annoying lol

I have a really loud high pitch ringing sound... probably why i don't ride with my wife that often.

All 3 of my bikes do it when sitting after a ride sometimes....its just the tank venting, no problem
