Any success with Candy Sonoma Red touch-up paint?

My '07 (candy Sonoma red) fell off the wheel stand in my garage last week (my fault), and scratched the right fairing in couple of small spots. I bought some touch up paint from Color-Rite, but now am hesitant to use it. I don't want to make it look worse. I can live with it now, if I have to, but if you guys can offer me some reassureance that touch up paint will look OK, I'll touch it up.

What worries me is that my color calls for 3-part paint: a sliver metallic base coat, followed by several coats of the red, finished off by clear coat.

Anybody out there used touch up paint for candy Sonoma red?

Thanks in advance for any first-hand experiences,

CW

Have you tried to buff it out yet? Sometime those little scratches look bad but they rub right out.

Yeah, try buffing it out first. Get some QUIXX Scratch Remover from Wal-Mart. I used a touch up pin once on my black Busa and used the wrong black color... The scratch looks bigger/deeper then it really is after it dried. Good luck.
