Me thinks they'd prolly snap off pretty easily in a drop given the small diameter of the threaded stud. Just my $.02
Those bobbins just replace a fairing screw.
Now think about what your frame is like where that bobbin will attach.
What do you think is going to happen when 500 lbs of weight comes crashing down and that bobbin gets squashed between your frame and the concrete pavement?

Not only does the bobbin instantly snap right off DESTROYING the fairing, it also DESTROYS the frame.
Without the magic mushrooms the guy could have had the fairing repainted for less than $200 bucks. With them, I'd say the bike is totalled unless you like driving with a severely tweaked frame

I'm with everyone else. Get a true set and cut the holes in the fairings.
