another brake pad question......

have heard some people are scuffing rotors when installing new pads to remove any light grooves from previous pads. what grit sand paper are you guys using? don't want to gouge pads with too rough of a paper.... thanks james

For badly worn ones I've used 250. For just scuffing 500+ works well for me.
