(Justyntym @ Oct. 03 2006,12:31) If you shoot, you shoot to kill and more importantly...you shoot to live. If your aiming knee caps etc...been watching to much TV.

I wouldn't mess with anything less than 9mm +P round for defense.

.380 is very weak.

Bullets have a tendency to bounce when you don't want them to where you don't want them to, you shoot you bury the round center mass.
Point taken but being that these days CCW rules and legislation makes it so that you have to be unquestionable at the time you decide to shoot.... You ought to be in the clear maiming the joker that tries to threaten your life...
I will agree that your better off smoking the fool to avoid litigation but an expert marksman can do wonders with a little pistol.

Wow this thread is getting just plain pornogunphic...
JustinTym, Love that old S&W 357. My pops bought one new back in 88-89... I fired off a few rounds with my pubescent hand at the time...

(gnd111 @ Oct. 03 2006,17:07) Ice Cube's recent CD has him brandishing a big'ol revolver that looks like a .44 or higher caliber

A real positive influence for the 10 year olds in any hood....
