Ams 1000 Screwy, I'm Stumped

where was the boost leak? I had one in the waste gate last year. ripped the baffle in two!

I want to provide a follow up for this thread. The problem was a huge boost leak and NOT the AMS 1000. It's performing as it should now that the boost leak is fixed.

It was a massive boost leak at the upper throttle body.

Whaen I first had my ams hooked up it would search real bad for 2nd gear. There is a range adjustment you can mess with to tighten or broaden the parameters of the voltage amount that the ams looks for per gear. I called Seb and he guided me.
I'll give it a look tonight to refresh my memory and post up the particulars. I remember that the solution seemed to be 180 off of what I thought it would be (as far as setting the parameters).

Any more detail on this? My GPS is useless on the AMS1000 and I've been trying for almost 2 years now to get it working right..

the 5 volts that feeds the GPS switch I cut and fed it a WAY more stable voltage supply I made from a regulator bought at radio shack
https://www.radioshack.com/collections/voltage-regulators/products/5v-volt-regulator
or https://www.radioshack.com/collecti...dioshack-adjustable-voltage-regulator-lm317t#
fixed mine perfectly, the gen II switch swap was because between gears on a gen I switch the voltage spikes giving you 6th gear for a .1 of a sec or so

just be aware that the AMS 1000 in gear position mode will not read voltage properly and will jump around. real PITA! its a problem Seb is aware of and he states if u want to ride ur bike in gear position mode buy the AMS 2000 lol. that was his fix. I guess he's not redesigning the AMS 1000.
what is the correct voltage for each gear trying to install my AMS 1000 on my 460 hp busa.
