Am I another victim of that \"cut-off\" thing?

Hi there, fellow abusers:

I'm new around here and I wonder if someone could give me a clue.
A few weeks ago I started noticing some problems with my Hayabusa:
When I was going full throttle, and then
cut completely the throttle, let's say because a car in front of me decided to overtake, when I tried to open throttle again, the engine died, and the only way to avoid stopping in the middle of the highway was to close throttle again, and open it again, very slowly.

The bike went to the dealer for the 6000 Km maintenance check-up, and I convinced the mechanic to try the bike and he confirmed this problem. After a couple of days they told me they couldn't find out what it was and that they had called a Suzuky technician (I suppose from the company that imports Suzuki to Portugal).

Thanks for reading this,

Manuel

Read the posts labeled "cut-out" or do a search for "cutout" or "cut out". The problem has been isolated to a tank coating/cleaning, fuel filter, or fuel pump problem. Suzuki definitely knows about it.

Did search for you. see "ok, cut-out fix again" by hiabuser. He did a fine job in isolating the real problem.

Welcome to the web site.
