Just thought I'd share. Went for a about a two hour ride tonight. From Linebaugh and Sheldon to Dale mabry, to Fletcher to I-275, around Tampa to Westshore, Westshore down to Gandy Bridge, across the bridge with a Police escort. Yeah no kidding, up to the Howard Franklin bridge in St. Petersburg. Went about 150 for a little while, then went about 175 for a couple seconds then back to 80mph, back and forth as traffic allowed...
Back to Dale Mabry, up to Waters, educated another 350Z and a dink in a Trans Am FireHawk. The Guy in the T/A was working it hard though, I almost felt bad messing with him, was a nice looking sounded pretty good.
Nobody even tried to kill me tonight though going across the Howard Franklin did have some dude on a Crotch Rocket go wailing by while I was between high speed bursts... I thought about running him down but traffic was pretty heavy...would have been fun, but it wasn't the right time...
Anyway, a real good time, though I sure could use a wingman or a Wingwench once in awhile though... :sad:

Schweet! I'd like to be yer wingman someday. Couldn't hang at 175 though... maybe 150 for a while. Would have been fun tag teamin' the 350Z and the 'bird with ya though! :super: It's always good to read about good head clearin' rides like this. Makes it crystal clear why we have these things. :beerchug:

Glad yer ride was smooth, fast, and without trouble or hassles, man. That's what it's all about... :D

Hell Yeah, Gandy is still my favorite though due to the opposing lanes being offset by about 10 feet.  It has to be about one of the safest places in the country for flat out high speed runs...to Bad the LEO's do not see it that way.

OH and Sleeper, I am about 95% sure that there is no way you could be my wingman, pretty certain I would be bringing up the rear soon enough...

Well back out and about tonight, went to Clearwater about 100 bikes there hanginout on US 60.   OH OH, and I get talked to by a real pretty Latina rider... I was looking for some folks I was supposed to meet so I tooled around the parking lot a couple of times then parked sorta out by myself, no other Busa's there and I wanted to be seen so when the rest of the crew showed up they could find me.  Well, after parking it and lighting a smoke, this tall hottie just comes walking up and says "Hi"... swear to god I looked behind me to see who she was talking to though...  She introduced herself as Angela and rides a Gixxer 750. I was feeling purty special.  She was really into the Busa, she told me it was awesome and "Just beautiful".  I swear I could see Lilah smile...   Then of course the rest of the crew showed up, acting like they act so I only got about 15 minutes of conversation, but hey, for a Married Guy...Thats still pretty damn special.  It was all about the bike, but I still felt good...  :thumbsup:
 
I love Clearwater. Never been on a bike, just in my Stangs. It was pretty happenin' every time I was there. The popo gang unit is a biotch, tho. They were walking through the crowd going as far as bumping into people and staring them down trying to get someone to buck so they could take 'em to jail...

One popo bumped me with his shouder as he passed me. I almost went to jail. I was almost drunk enough to say something to him. Fortunately I was not drunk enough to overlook the fact that I was about to get my tail whooped and be makin' bond. There were about eight of them and one of me. They were better equipped for the fight as well. :alcoholic:

Hmmm, just remembered... Almost went to jail twice that night. I walked into a convenience store to get more beer to take to the room and needed to leave some of the beer I drank at Brit's Pub (excellent pizza!!! :super: ). I find the restroom and the door is standing open. I go in and do my business. When I open the door the off duty popo working security jumps in my face tellin' me that I ain't supposed to be in there.

He then asks me how I got in because the door stays locked. I told him that the door was open so I just went in. He gets pissed and tells me, "No, the door stays closed and locked!" and again asks me how I got in. So, I reply, "Ok, smart guy, if the door was closed and locked, YOU tell ME how I got in!". He then tells me that there's a sign that says no public restroom. I have him point it out to me and it's on the counter where you check out, about knee level and obscured by the ten other guys buying beer.

I just laughed... Anyway, I walk to the cooler and get my beer. He follows me around but let's me buy it and as I'm walking out the door he tells me to leave the store. Freakin' idiot! :withstupid:

Those two incidents are the only times I've ever ran into a-hole popo's. Both in Clearwater, both within an hour of each other. Needless to say, I didn't risk the third strike rule. I went straight to the room with the hottie I took down there with me and got busy. It was that or I figured I'd be sleepin' in jail. Which would YOU choose? :super: ;)

I think I'll try it out on the next officer that pulls me over.

Its a bucanneer thing. just like TPD an HCSD.

Does the causeway still get over a 100 bikes on the overlooks and when the TPD shows up everyone races on the Cwater side? I love to watch that

Well It will prolly be more of the same this Saturday. Head out to 60 there, watch the crazies. Then just sort of cruise around aimlessly. There is a group I was with for awhile last Saturday that are a little high strung but good folks...

By Hi-Strung, I mean lots O wheelies, attitude, generally irresponsible behavior. Best to ride in the back of the pack for sure, but good for a laugh....

I would love to go riding with you though Raider. I tried to get Hayabusa Man out to ride but he bailed a couple of weeks ago. Like I said I am up around Linebaugh and Shelden pretty much in that area, so yeah we need to go slap patterson around a little or I can head out to your neck of the woods.

I need to get ahold of NotABusa as well, I know he rides the wheels of his Yammy...

Too Late, Allready told her...Seriously, I tell her freakin everything. Keeps us happily married. No secrets from each other except for you know Christmas and Birthdays...
