I have the suit. I bought it April 2005 and wear it most of the time and especially when on trips.
I think the original goal of the manufacturer was a commuter suit that protects your clothes on rides to and from work. It's expanded into a nice touring suit too.
I've worn my suit from 114 degrees to -8 degrees. It's a cloth suit so without something under it to block the cold breeze, it's good to about 50 or so. With a sweatshirt I can go to 29 degrees and with a Gerbing's jacket liner I get to -8 (that's my lowest temp; I could probably go lower but it's the fingers that's a problem
)
For the heat there are under arm vents, a back vent (under that reflective strip on the back), and hip vents. The pants can be snapped on the bottom so you can run the zipper up but I find the heat from the road and engine are much worse than any benefit from that as a vent. There is velcro in four or five places down the body so you can unzip your front and velcro it together for more venting. At the warmest, I wetted my t-shirt (just do the top half though) and he made a significant difference.
It's kept me pretty dry most of the time. There's a little lap problem which can be fixed with some seam sealer. I went through the hurricane coming south from Maine back in the end of June and other than a small ("did you pee your pants") dampness problem in the crotch it worked quite well. When I got back, my wife got in touch with a Nikwax representative and we used it to re-waterproof it. If you get a suit, make sure you use Nikwax to clean and preserve the waterproofing.
I'd suggest getting the sportbike modification which repositions the sleeves to be more comfortable in the forward position of a sportbike. I'll be sending mine back this winter for that adjustment. I also bought the hip pads for extra protection and there are velcro bits on the inside so you can add a back protector if you want.
It has vecro on the left arm and left thigh for a map case. I got the thigh one since I'm getting old and have to see things at a distance but it's pretty thick so it doesn't really stay wrapped around my leg very well. It hasn't come off on a ride yet though so I may be worried for no reason.
There's a right lower thigh pocket, two regular left and right pockets fronted by two top velcro'd pockets. There's a right full length chest pocket where I keep my wallet and receipts. There's a pass through left side which hold your gloves with a fronted pocket where I keep a pen and my tire guage (under the diagonal reflector). There's an inside pocket behind the full length chest pocket where I stash my wallet if it rains (the pockets are water resistant; no problems so far but I don't want my wallet to get wet).
This pic shows the suit when I returned from a three week trip. That's a camelback in a Joe Rocket mini-backpack and the tube running through the glove pocket.
I like it and would probably buy another next time, however I am interested in trying for some track time and I understand they really prefer it if you wear leather instead of textile. When my wife thinks she's ready though, I'll suggest she get one.
