Adventures installing a MotoBatt.

Well, the battery on my Busa finally quit a couple times as if the internal connections
were going open. I would lose power completely.
I got my new MotoBatt today and started installing it. The terminals were on the wrong
side of the battery, so I had to re-locate them to the other side. It looked like an easy
job until I found that one of the screws was not long enough to catch the threads in the terminal on the new side. I had to take one of the screws from the old battery and cut it down on the grinder and tinker with the threads until I got it to fit. I cleaned the lugs, put a little grease on them and tightened everything down. With that taken care of
I hooked the battery tender to it and she's been charging for 2 hours now and still hasn't
come up to full charge. I like to slow charge them the first time around because I feel it
conditions them better.
I did take a look at the old battery and it's a Yuasa, so I'm guessing it's the original battery
that came with the bike. I guess it was time for it to expire.!!
