Hey guys, I'm a brand new member to this site. I'm currently looking at 2 different motorcycles right now. One being the Hayabusa (Obviously) and the other being the ZX-14. I'm looking at the 2007 year for both models. I want a Hayabusa badly, but I have no idea what the 2007 will bring. I've heard about the possibility of a 6 Cylinder, some "active body modifications" and other things. Basically, I created this topic for people to add to in regards to what they've heard about the new Suzuki. I can't wait to see what the changes are. Hopefully, some of you know things I don't! Thank you!

Use the Search functionality....time to stop beating the dead horse....September we will know (Suzuki unveils 2007 models).

Hey welcome to the Org! Lots of speculation as to all the details on our beloved bike! But, unfortunately there just that speculation... Wish we had the inside skinny direct from Suzuki, but alas we don't. Hey Suzuki if your listening send me a PM I know how to keep a secret.
Some of the Rumors..
1. 1400-1600cc motor
2. lighter more like the 1K
3. No changes until 2008
4. 6 cylinder motor
5. Just new paint
6. Completely new from the ground up
7. Coming with a turbo
8. Will have LED's, HID light, & more sport touring friendly
9. Will more than likely have           (Insert your fav here)

10. Its going to be replaced by the Ronco Dehydrator.. Kawi fans will appreciate this last one.

Even if Suzuki doesn't alter the busa for 07 (besides colors) it'll still be the best bike on the market... because Kaw isn't going to be altering anything about their 07 14 because they didn't even get it all right for 06.

If we get our wish and Suzuki does bring a bigger badder busa in for 07... it should really only interest those who've actually taken a 99-06 to its limits. Today I finally hit my personal best of 150mph on the freeway, so why would I even care about a brand new busa that can hit 200mph when I haven't even taken my 06 to it's limits? As is, the busa is a monster... and a more powerful busa should only be considered by those who have tamed the current model busa.

I'll probaby end up riding my 06 through 07 and look into getting an 08... for now that's the plan.

I would wait until the 07 is released and see which one you like the best, you may even get a great deal on a left over 06. I love my 05.

I recently purchased a Kawasaki ZX-14 and couldn't be more disappointed. I thought I was getting a quick, nimble and fun-to-ride bike. It's one of the doggiest bikes I've owned. My 60-horsepower V-twin would walk all over this bike. If you drive within the confines of speed limits the bike barely rolls along. Who dumps the clutch at 4000 at a stop sign and keeps their driver's license? It's a missile at 70 to 170 mph, but who does that on public roads?

I hope I can find an aftermarket shop that can take the electronic restriction off the throttle.

You were right when you said, "It's like going' into a casino with a $100 bill and not being able to cash it in."

anything anyone says at this point will be speculation

for me, I have been on this board since 2003, and EVERY year it is the same hype "I heard the new busa will have this" or "Did you hear the 2004 Busa will be a 1400cc!!!"

Every year ALL of the speculations have been wrong, because every year people have said huge changes were happening, and the bike has still gone un changed...

Kind of like the boy who cried wolf, dont count on the big bad wolf until you see it. Until then any comments speculating on the "New Busa" are a waste of time to post and a waste of time to read..

Not even sure why I am posting this.. guess I am bored

This subject always adds to the entertainment factor of the site.
If you want our honest opinions the Busa no matter what is the way to go. I perosnally am not a Kawi fan so my decision was really easy. I have the 03 40th Copper color and would not trade it for nothing. I may add to the stable but I will never replace my baby. I honestly have only seen 2 others in my town and the rare factor is what I like so much.

So sit back and be patient to see what Sept brings us, and I will guess that like the past 3 years we will be once again disspointed of no changes.

I am going to buy if it is all-new and park it right next to my '03 Anniv!!!!!

Bought an 06 BUSA over the ZX14. No regrests and would do it again.

I love my Hayabusa I had a choice of 06 zx14 or my Busa and I chose the best I really don't care about the numbers (fractions) I believe the Hayabusa is the best. And she looks wwaayyy better

I know in my mind, it has been made up to get a Hayabusa. The ZX was growing on me, but I still had the Hayabusa in the back of my head...I just dig that style so much. I just wish I knew if 2007 would bring a change. I'm not being very patient because I'm currently riding nothing, LOL. But I also don't want to rush my purchase. That's why I didn't get a 2006 Hayabusa. It's late, I'm just blabbering random crap...but I guess to sum it all up...I'd just like to see a decent change so that way I can scoop it up fast! Later people!

Only the license losing speed freaks really complain...

The ZX-14 is a really great bike (so is the Busa) and I think Kawi did a GREAT job in 06 coming out with a bike that is a) faster and b) more rideable in everyday traffic. I actually respect Kawi for making the conscious decision of dipping the power curve at 5k to sacrifice a little performance for more streetability.

I don't know about you, but here in NJ, popping wheelies ever block ain't exactly a good way to keep your license. There is a reason why over time manufactures have pushed the engine more forward in the chassis - keeping that front wheel down.

ZX-14 and Busa are great bikes with tons of performance. I think it comes down to look, feel, and what you want.

That's the thing as well. It's tough to tell what you want. There are complaints on both sides, though I suspect most people on this board hate the ZX-14 because of biased opinions. I'll give credit where it is due and to me the ZX is a great machine. However, for my tastes, the Hayabusa looks better. Only downside to it is the brake issue and how it is no longer the fastest missile. Oh well, can't win em' all I guess. I just want an update, LOL.

actually it now looks like you are just trolling..

Phrases like:

"Everyone hates the ZX-14 because of biased opinions"

Most people here don’t "HATE the ZX-14. Most of us here are over the age of 30 and usually put common sense into play when we make decisions.. comparing a 7 year old bike that has been proven to a first year motorcycle and when, if you give it an honest analysis at best is equal to the Busa, it doesn’t blow the Busa away in any capacity. Nothing for ZX-14 riders to be proud of. On the other hand it is nothing for Busa riders to scoff at.

So I wouldn’t say everyone here hates the 14, if nothing else I would say most people here feel it is about time Kawai pulled there head out of their buts and built something that will force Suzuki to step up to the plate.

And as far as your comment:

“Only downside to it is the brake issue and how it is no longer the fastest missile.â€

Well you said it yourself, the Busa is a better looking bike.. you can get an aftermarket brake system for the Busa, but as they say, ugly is to the bone. Not much you can do about ugly.

And the comment about the Busa no longer the fastest missile? This comment is coming from someone who doesn’t own either bike. So I would say you are not qualified to make that comment.

Aside from that, most “experienced†(and I am not talking about people who just run their mouths, I am talking real riders who know whats going on with the bike) riders on both sides have said the Busa and the 14 are so close, in the end it comes down to rider

And beauty is in the eyes of the beholder anyway, I have talked to people and work with people who honestly don’t like the way the Busa looks. All I care about is the fact the Busa’s styling is a result from being built in a wind tunnel.
